Gary showed again this year at the prestigious Phippen Museum show, the premiere western art show in Arizona. His graphite drawing, "Show Horse", won 3rd place in the drawing competition.
He also participated in the quick draw in which he painted a young colt in the 45 minute challenge. The painting was sold at auction immediately after completion.
